    • Victor died intestate in 1923 in New Orleans, Louisiana; his wife died in Canada in 1927, also intestate. Their estate was processed in succession papers filed in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana, in 1936.
      Victor died while visiting his daughter's home at 1825 Elysian Fields Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.

      The death certificate states: "Deceased was the husband of Cora Sypple. A book keeper and the the son of Joseph Fauria and Rose Bessy. Birth Place of Father Spain'Mother La.

    • His obituary reads:
      "At residence No. 1825[?] Elysian Fields, on Friday, March 9, at 1:15 o'clock p.m., VICTOR FAURIA, SR., beloved husband of [unclear] Zypple[?], aged 74 years, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, for the past seventeen months.
      "His remains will be conveyed to Windsor, Ontario, Canada, for interment via I.C.R.R. (Panama Limited), on Saturday, March 10, 1923, at 12:30 p.m."
    Notes 
    • In the 1880 census, And[illegible] and Victorine Rodrigues are living in Victor's household. They are identified as his brother- and sister-in-law, ages 15 and 18.

      In 1904, after the death of his brother Frank FAURIA, Victor was appointed tutor to three of Frank's children, all children of the then-deceased Antonia CAGNOLATTI FAURIA: Francisca, Sydney, and Lovell. He was required to post a $600 bond, which he did.

      The 1910 census reports that Victor's father was born in Spain, his mother in Alabama, although the 1920 census reports she was born in Louisiana. The 1910 census also notes that his nephew Lovelle Fauria was living with Victor's family. [2, 6, 18]
