      BARBARIN -- Benjamin Louis Barbarin Sr., on Thursday December 12, 1974, at 2:57 o'clock p.m., beloved husband by first marriage of Wanita B. Barbarin and by second marriage of Mrs. Eva Barbarin; son of the late Emile Barbarin and Estelle Cousin; father of Pinell and Lawrence Barbarin, Mrs. Estelle Lumas, Benjamin L. Barbarin Jr., Roland Barbarin, Mrs. Juanita Galbreth, Miss Gloria Barbarin and Mrs. Emily Jones; step-father of Ernest J. Milton Jr.; brother of the late Walter [and] Oscar Barbarin, Mrs. Ada Hains and Mrs. Elise Segue; also suvived by 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends; a native of Slidell, Louisiana and a resident of New Orleans for 74 years.
      Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Laharpe United Methodist Church, St. James Methodist Church and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, South Central Bell Telephone Company, faculty and students of Warren Easton High School, are invited to attend the funeral services from Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home (downtown) 1610 Lapeyrouse Street on Monday December 16, 1974 at 9:30 o'clock a.m., Reverend Andrew J. Douglas, officiating.
      Interment in St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery.
      Wake services on Sunday night, December 15, 1974 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the parlor.
      Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, Inc. in charge.
