      BARBARIN -- Oscar Barbarin Sr., on Wednesday, February 14, 1973 at 1:30 a.m., beloved husband of Mrs. Albertha Armstrong Barbarin; son of the late Emile Barbarin and Mrs. Estelle Cousin Barbarin; father of Mrs. Helen Daville, Oscar Barbarin Jr., and Larence Earl Armstrong; brother of Benjamin Barbarin Sr., and the late Walter Barbarin Sr., Edna Hains, and Elise Segise; grandfather of Adair, Lemuel and Fabian Barbarin, Mrs. Sylvia Simpson, Mrs. Albertha Gex, Mrs. Ellen Albert and the late Davie Daville, all of New Orleans, Louisiana, Oscar Barbarin III of New Brunswick, New Jersey; and Mrs. Barbara Shaffer of Silver Springs, Maryland, Mrs. Peidie Jones of Madison, Wisconsin and Oscar Daville of Washington, D.C.; also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
      Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, officers members and parishioners of St. Raymond Catholic Church, are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, February 17, 1973 from Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 1610 Lapeyrouse St., followed in Requiem Mass at St. Raymond Catholic Church, Paris Avenue at Milton St. at 9:00 a.m.
      Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
      Wake services and recitation of Rosary Friday night at 8:00 p.m. at the downtown funeral home, 1610 Lapeyrouse St. ###
